Print Works Visit

12th Aug 2012

Visit to Robert Smail's Print Works at Innerleithen

A delegation from The Ericht Trust have just visited Robert Smail's print Works at Innerleithen near Peebles. The Scottish National Trust saved Smail's printing works in 1986 and it now runs as a working Print Museum. As such it represents the only near equivalent to the historic print experience that The Ericht Trust hopes to preserve and install in the Hill Primary building. Plans are being made to rehouse the closed Hamilton Scott Print works in Reform Street so that its unique history cab be developed into an educational print experience that will be a cornerstone of the Hill Primary project.

We are appealing to any one who may have skills and interest in printing and compositing to help us with this project.
